I quickly wipe my sponges. We usually buy yellow ones with a green shabby side. But when you need to wipe something off a bowl, plate, or tray, like some dough, you know it can quickly get messy and cover itself in a gooey mess. And they just don't last. You'll get smelly fast. I've tried kitchen towels but they don't have a cleaning side so I use a bamboo brush to clean. I have tried all natural sponges and walnut sponges. But these sponges are the best - I know they look like they're going to be very nasty. This foam material isn't what a sponge should be, is it? Not correct! And that rough side looks so hard and thin it's about to break, right? I'm wrong again! This is the most durable and effective working sponge ever and even my husband considered it his favorite sponge. He dreams of a sponge (sounds like a Seinfeld reference, but it's not). This sponge does the hard work of scrubbing all the dirt, it doesn't stick to it and then scrubs some more. And the foam... it's great. This is a foaming, soap-filled cleansing machine. I will only buy these sponges and in bulk so they never run out.
