Once assembled this is a regular stool for this price. However, I found it difficult to assemble. In my opinion the instructions are misleading; In fact, I don't think you can assemble it if you follow the instructions. I bought two of these stools and each one was very difficult to put together. In one instance, I was sent the wrong screws and had to grind off about 1/2 inch of the length of four screws. I took a different approach to assemble each stool. The assembly of the second stool was perhaps a little easier, except that the screws had to be shortened. If you are purchasing one of these stools, be aware that assembly will require a great deal of trial, error and patience.
