It fitted perfectly into our 1910's bungalow dining room. Our ceilings are 8 feet high and the light couldn't hang *too far* but I still wanted it to impress. Our family uses our 12 x 16 foot dining room for many events that require varying levels of lighting, from late night work to quiet dinners. With a timeless oiled bronze finish, this dimmable fixture was perfect, filling the room with bright, warm light when needed. (In the photo, the lamp is running at about half power). I've bought vintage style LED bulbs for sale from Menards (with a few spares) and they are built to last. A plain ceiling medallion from Home Depot matches the diameter of the light fixture and gives a very finished look (it also meant I didn't have to paint anything after the old light fixture was removed!) Nice construction. Our electrician installed it quickly. No problem.
