Review on Efficient Hair Removal with Philips Satinelle Essential Epilator, BRE235/04 by Lashawn Diaz

Good for beginners - don't waste your money on others!

This is my first and only experience with an epilator. TL; DR: Buy this if it's your first because it's a reputable brand but cheap. exfoliate but epilate on air-dried skin. My hair: I have very dark, very thick body hair. A lot of my hair grows in pairs. Like two hairs from the same follicle or pore or whatever. I'm talking about the happy path, which is more like a happy road. and wow this thing is really good at accommodating thick short and fine fluffy hair. It hurt in the inner thigh area. Did it feel like I was tugging at my hair or my skin? but there is a sensitive area clip for the epilator to help with curvy hips etc. Tip: buy this one if you are a beginner. Don't waste your money on a flashy wireless model just yet. You don't know if you'll like epilation if you use it regularly, and corded epilation is always stronger and more durable than cordless, so you'll save money and time. SLOWER! and STAY at a 90 degree angle! We don't have time for ingrown hairs! Don't call her out just because you've buttoned up and lengthened tangled hair instead of plucking it out. I also disagree with using this fresh out of the shower. No matter how thick our hair is, it's more likely to break than tug if it's just been washed. I suggest making exfoliation a regular part of your shower routine (buy an African bath sponge or exfoliating mitt), but use your epilator when you're completely dry. Some people say that you shouldn't use this on the day of the event for visual reasons. I had some redness but it went away in minutes not hours (I'm black melanin and I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin) but I would still do it the day before the beach/date/whatever because my legs are numb from hundreds of plucked hairs lol. It's noisy too. scary at first but you quickly get used to it! Don't watch TV or listen to podcasts. Maybe you listen to music. Anyway, my legs were silky soft, a number yes, but I'll be curious when my skin "gets used to it" because I'm already realizing that I won't shave anymore (at least for my legs. I'm so scared to use it on my box lol!)
