I'll start with the build quality, the flashlight itself is mostly plastic, but very durable plastic. It's not squeaky or flimsy, and it's not flexible, so there's a big catch in that department. The stand is mostly metal and sticks very well to my desk. The puff buttons are all plastic and I honestly wish they were metal, but for the price, that's to be expected. Still, everything pulls on well and I've had no trouble with anything loose. In terms of light output, this thing can get pretty bright. In the image I've attached, I'm only using P25. I had the room lights off and set the P25 brightness to just 40% at 5600K. Exposure looked good at this level, so yes, there's plenty of headroom if you've gotten the light a little farther away or just want a brighter look. A built-in diffuser definitely adds to its softness, and also helps keep it less glare (although you still get some sense of unscrewing it all the way). I especially like that it comes with a remote control. makes it easier to switch on and off and, above all, to adjust the lighting. The only downside was that no batteries were included for the remote control. So make sure you use a pair of triple fives. The power cord for the light is good and long. All in all, this is a very solid kit and well worth it for YouTube videos, streaming, etc.
