I get a "Service 4WD" message in hot weather, especially when driving at low speed. I hate changing parts but I couldn't read the code with my OBDII reader so I searched the internet. I checked the transfer case switch on the I/P and based on the youtube video found it ok. Under the conditions when I got the error message, the T-Body Position Sensor seemed like a reasonable culprit, so I ordered one. A little more work than replacing the T-body motor, but much cheaper and just as effective. After a month of hot summer weather, there were no more "Service 4WD” messages.
