Unlucky for Audiobooks

I usually use my MP3 players in the car to listen to audiobooks on the way to work. Sometimes I borrow audio books from an online library, and sometimes I buy them on CD and rip them to mp3. In any case, the SanDisk Sport never follows the order, it counts from 1 to 9 and then jumps to track 100. I updated to the latest firmware and it didn't fix anything. The device is utterly useless if you want ordered files (like audiobooks, podcasts, or music tagged with track numbers) - too dumb to know how numerical ordering works. .Luckily I still have my SanDisk Fuze (which works fine just doesn't allow for as much memory = more book file management instead of just downloading and listening for a while). I researched several MP3 players in this work. (not a huge cost to test this, but definitely a failure). So far Iyzer seems to work pretty well (and has a lot of memory), but I haven't used it enough to justify it. Still thankful for trusty old Fuze; For now, it remains my favorite portable audiobook device. I wouldn't recommend buying the SanDisk Clip Sport as it (at least for Win 7) just won't stay connected to the machine. It keeps disconnecting and I have to unplug and plug it back in - I can't even copy files to or from it or delete files from it without disconnecting. It's very pointless trying to use this thing. AVOID this and you'll be glad you did.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
