Looks good, fits well, quality materials

I installed the Sense energy monitoring system in my electrical box and the Sense comes with an antenna that can be mounted outside the box. The instructions for Sense suggest installing the antenna in a recess, but since the panel will be built into the finished wall, the connectors will be behind the wall. So I decided to install Sense on the outside of the panel. To do this, I removed the panel cover, removed the cutout, drilled a hole in the adjacent stud, cut a small hole in the drywall on the other side of the stud, and installed a plastic bushing in the drywall. I then routed the wires from the inside of the panel, through the cutout, through the stud, through the junction box and out to the Sense, which comes with a wall mount bracket. The result looked unfinished because there was no lid on the can at the exit, so I ordered this wall plate with brush to decorate the installation. The wall plate is made of thick plastic and has a high-quality appearance. It consists of two parts: an inner mounting bracket that attaches to the output box mounting holes, and an outer bezel that attaches to the inner mounting bracket. It only took a minute to install, I'm very happy with the result.
