I mean, who didn't expect a $25 clipper to be Chinese trash? I have made. But I also expected them to last longer than a month. Unfortunately, the first time I needed to charge it (it comes with a factory charger) and found it wouldn't charge, it was too late to return it. I could try to get a guarantee or something, but that's not instructive. The trick to opening it without destroying it is to pry off the ribbed (for her amusement) black border. Underneath are two screws (pictured). The plastic is surprisingly thick. Plus, it's thick enough under the covers not to flex. Looking at the internals, I couldn't find any obvious problems. All connections appear to be good and there are no visually bad components. I don't have a pixie meter to test the battery, but it will still be slow even if it's not charging (the LED never lights up), so I don't think it's the battery. Design is a switch. It's a simple lubricated wafer that rubs back and forth on the silicon itself (pictured). If that useless thing won't turn on, it's probably the switch. If you buy cheap, you buy twice. It's time to buy a new machine.
