A few months ago I bought an Arteck standalone keyboard for my home office. I was so impressed that I bought a keyboard/mouse combo to replace the one in my office and ordered another combo to take back to Japan to replace the one in my Japanese home office. This is because I believe the Arteck keyboard is one of the best keyboards I have ever used in almost 4 decades of working with a computer. The design is very sleek and the brushed stainless steel backplate that curves around the front of the keyboard contrasts nicely with the matte black keys and gives the keyboard excellent stability. The island keys are easy to use, even for non-touch typists, and are very quiet. The keyboard has all the features of much more expensive keyboards, and the Numlk and Caps Lock LEDs are easy to see. In addition, the battery indicator is clear and very useful. Battery life is excellent, and the use of a lithium battery means that charging can be done at any time via the included USB cable. The rechargeable mouse is ergonomic and easy to use. Since I do a lot of graphic work, I also work a lot with the mouse, and even after work I don't feel any discomfort in my hand or wrist, despite slight arthrosis and my advanced age! It's slightly noisier in operation than the Logitech mouse it replaces, but it makes up for it by being able toggle between 800/1000/1200 DPI settings on the fly. A small complaint has to do with the size and placement of the mouse LED, which is hidden on the bottom front of the mouse. However, once a person knows where they are, they can be seen if necessary. This keyboard and mouse combo is worthy of five stars and represents excellent value for money.
