This is a very good emergency radio. Has a USB port to charge my Android phone. The built-in batteries are a pair of AAA NiMH batteries. So don't expect a charge to last too long, but it does. The built-in single LED flash is sufficient for close to mid-range illumination, but any specialty brand LED flash will likely outperform it. Has a compartment for two AA batteries if you don't want to operate the radio. Overall a very good emergency radio for the price. Bought because here in South Florida you never know when you might need it.
