Review on πŸ›Œ APSMILE Full/Queen All Season Goose Feathers Down Comforter: Ultra-Soft Pima Cotton Duvet Insert, Medium Warmth Year-Round, 90x90 White by Jessica Silva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Warm at 65 degrees on comforters and duvets

I also have a pinzon flannel duvet cover to start with (sp?) and that's it in the picture. .I have a heavy king quilt because I live in Flagstaff where it actually snows (sometimes in June!) and it gets down to teens and under at night and I like it when the room is a bit cooler at night so I turn on the heating. up to 65 degrees when we go to bed and then when my husband gets up in the morning he turns on the heating. It took me 3 orders and 30 days to finally deliver it but it was an issue with the USPS and my complex, no blanket. I vacuum packed it and set it aside until I was ready for it. I cut the bag open, shook it and put it in the air dryer with no heat for 80 minutes (that's the max time) to fluff it up. It definitely increased in the dryer. I saw in a magazine that designers tucked a king size comforter into a king size duvet cover to make the bed look even more fluffy, so I stole this tip. I have a queen size flannel duvet cover which you can see in the picture which makes it even warmer. We've been using it for a few days now and it's very quiet and doesn't rustle when we move the blanket like our summer weight does. It's warm enough that I can lower the temperature to 65 degrees, but when my husband turns the temperature down to 72 degrees when he gets up in the morning, I don't sweat from the temperature change. This is a fantastic duvet and I have spent months looking for the right duvet for the winter season reading all the reviews on a dozen different duvets. Most expensive duvet I've bought but definitely worth the money as long as it lasts.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
