WHAT I BUY: Large toilet pan. Set of 2. WHY I BOUGHT IT: I always knew you should have an emergency kit for your cats, but it was always one of those "I'll do that later" things that inspired me to finally have one for my three cats to put together after seeing so many Tennessees lose their place in the recent wildfire. Of course, it doesn't have to be so huge that it needs an emergency kit. You never know what's going to happen and I'd rather be prepared just in case and never use it than need it and not have it. I have three kittens so litter boxes are a big deal in my house. Although I have several litter boxes, each cat clearly prefers the largest - a giant plastic litter box that I cut out the entrance to. The litter boxes should ideally be 1.5 times the length of your cat (according to cat behavior experts), so I wanted something BI G. It was the largest litter box of its kind I could find, with the best reviews. That's why I chose it. FIRST IMPRESSION: SIZE. Even though I read the measurements before buying, I'm still pleasantly surprised by the size of the box. It's small enough to be carried around but big enough to accommodate my kitties. You can easily use it on your car floor when you are on the road if needed. For reference I am attaching photos of him next to my fully grown adult cat who I would say is medium sized. QUALITY - IT IS MUCH STRONGER THAN I PRESENT! I'm surprised how thick each box is. Even though I only use it as an emergency kit, I could easily see how someone could use it as their daily toilet. From the outside it looks like a very thick paper mache, but inside it is smooth. I took some close-ups so you can see for yourself. I want to show in the picture how durable it is. PRICE - Now that I've seen the boxes in person I understand why the price is what it is and think it's totally justified. USE - As I keep this in the closet with other essentials like canned cat food, it's the only essential ingredient I can't legally talk about. To be honest I hope I never have to use it - the box seems fantastic but I hope I never run into an emergency. would also like to use it as a litter box if I didn't have so many cats.
