Bought these to wear while surfing (fishing from the beach) to protect your feet from accidentally hitting glass/objects in the sand. For around $10, it can't get any cheaper or better than going barefoot. Pros: The material is comfortable and light (I often forgot I was wearing them). The sole is also thick enough to protect your feet and protect them from the hot sand. An unexpected plus for me was that the shoe has really good grip. I often climb rocks by the dock to get to a good fishing spot and have had no problems or fear of slipping on the rocks with them. Finally, the customer service is fantastic so you can feel safe ordering from them. I think these sizes are a little big because you want them to be a tighter fit. The size I originally ordered and tried was a bit large so they sent me a size down to try for free. I recommend going down a size for a better sand experience. Disadvantages: sand penetrates them (sand penetrates all water shoes). But the smaller size greatly improved sand protection. Even if sand does get in, you can just throw it away (in your shoes) while you're in the water. Overall I was hesitant to order them but I was very glad I did, especially at this price point.
