I don't usually leave reviews, but after ordering I understand why there are so many negative reviews about the lid. When I received mine I initially had the same problem of it not staying fully on the glass. It was very frustrating to keep the lid closed while drinking. I called S'well for advice on how to fix it and they said to press the cap down and twist it slightly when I put it on. Since the lid works because it creates a vacuum, you have to give it a little help. Since then I do not have problems anymore. It takes a little practice to get it right, but once you get it, it's awesome! Left it in the car with ice and water for 4 hours in 100 degree heat and when I came back it was still freezing!
