I bought this to keep in our bedroom as my 4 month old still sleeps in the bag and plays next to our bed. For her sleep and where she sleeps at night, a more expensive, good quality monitor is installed in the children's room. I bought it because it was the cheapest at Revain. The picture quality is surprisingly good for such a cheap device. The battery drains pretty quickly and the signal range is terrible. I can't even leave the house without losing the signal. Also, for some reason, every time I use the microwave, it becomes very intermittent. But for what it is, it's not bad. I wouldn't consider this a primary monitor. Only as a backup or as an extra. **Edit** Battery drains very quickly. I almost always have to keep it on. Also, it doesn't seem to be working properly for a number of reasons. The screen often goes completely black (not in sleep mode) and I have to turn it off and back on completely. Sometimes it makes a really weird high static sound. The connection often breaks off too.
