I bought two of these tables for living room side tables. After assembling the metal bases, we found that they didn't match the top. There is no way to evenly align the base and top. When the front was seated correctly, the back was off, etc. I ended up with both tables looking good from the front, but the metal base is on one side outside the top on the back. The metal is quite sharp and could cut someone where exposed. There was absolutely nothing we could do about it. I tucked the backrests as close to the sofa as possible to hide the flaw, but that's not necessary. Also, the metal was scratched in several places on both tables. I do not recommend buying this table.
