Update. Everything works for my 11 year old child and he is happy. It's not the easiest setup, but it works. She looks very beautiful in the description, but in real life this is a huge problem. The pump must be mounted INSIDE the tank in a very small slot at odd angles. There is no obvious place to run the cable (heater or pump). The instructions are terrible, and while it's still possible to put everything together, the pieces fall off if you push just a little. You really can't put any substrate in there as it keeps moving towards the filter inlet. The light comes on for about 3 seconds when plugged in, then goes out and we can't find an explanation in the manual as to whether we're missing that or the whole thing is just a bunch of junk. . Just no, no, no. It's so frustrating that we're trying to set up the tank for aggressive fish as soon as possible. Hopefully I can still return it as it was quite expensive given its size.
