This is a good moving light for our pantry. We had the previous model and on this one the motion sensor is in the middle of the bar rather than on the side. It turns on fairly quickly after we open the door and turns off after enough time to not drain the battery. The battery works very well. If he really needs a charger, a small USB plug will suffice for a few hours in the USB-A adapter and you're good to go. My only problem with this is that the light goes out and ramps up to full brightness. This can be good or bad for everyone. I personally don't like it, it wasn't like that with the previous model. I want full brightness as soon as it detects motion.
