Review on Porcelain Butter Dessert Plates Assorted by Mark Allen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent product - detailed review, ***Update after 9 months

I like the size, the patterns and the nice texture on the outside of the shell. The bottom wasn't as rough as I usually find, which hopefully minimizes the risk of scratching the interior design when stacking the bowls. Holds well in hand as I will be using them as my main bowl with chopsticks. I like the patterns. Feels good about China. I've washed it in the dishwasher about a dozen times and no noticeable difference. I've tapped the edges and no chipping so far. .I will only install 4 shells but prefer a lot of 6 as I expect to lose a shell or two over time. . There was a quality issue so I gave it a 4/5. One of the bowls contained a small piece of ceramic (about the size of a sesame seed) that fell into the bowl and was then fired on the spot. This is the obvious point at which the spoon is catching on when it comes to eating. This is a disadvantage. I'm afraid it will break while eating - slightly, but still. I was thinking of scratching or sanding it but that would spoil the look, like a colored finish. So, I think I already had 5 bowls left and didn't want to go through the return process. I still love the set. *** 9 month update. Still good. No pattern fading, no chipping. Good buy. This is a review of a product I purchased for personal use.
