I was a beautician at Supercuts for many years until a car accident ended my career. This is the first pair of scissors I've bought that have impressed me since my favorite Hakari pair of scissors. They were irreparably damaged by a sharpener and had to be replaced. They are the small size I'm used to, very well balanced and very sharp. What I like best is that the thumb hole is big enough so my thumb doesn't "get stuck" when I squeeze my scissors. I don't cut my hair often anymore (car accident + arthritis) so I can't say how it will hold up in a real salon, but I love it!
