Mech. It was easy enough to use and after about five days my feet started peeling as promised. No problem. But they peeled off for a very long time. Over three weeks. Don't plan on wearing sandals until after those weeks. I usually wear socks anyway so that's not a problem for me, but the peeling took a lot longer than the two weeks I was expecting. My feet are a bit softer in most places, but the harder heel marks are still there, so it's not particularly effective. (My hard times aren't that bad so I didn't need a miracle) I think I was expecting a more dramatic improvement based on the claims. All in all it wasn't worth the time and money and I won't buy it again.
