I was looking for a down jacket with a zip hood that was affordable and suitable for climbing. I had 3 criteria.1. Lightweight and packs in a backpack2. Long in body 3. I can move my arms above my head. This jacket is lighter than many other winter jackets, but not as light and not foldable. The material feels very durable which is nice but it's not what I was looking for. The jacket is quite long in the upper body, I have a long body and the dresses usually hit the hips, which is a good length. I bought a small and I usually buy a small. The center back measures 26.5 inches for the small size. The arms are a bit short though. 3. Shoulders and everything else is a little tight. I could probably increase the size to medium. I definitely wouldn't be able to wear a thick sweater under this jacket, while my little down jacket from the north side goes with a sweater and my denim jacket. 5'9", 127 lbs. 34,27,36.5 and bought a small.
