Review on πŸ‘Ÿ pediped Max Mid-Cut Boot (Big Kid) with Enhanced Grip - Top Choice for Little Feet by Carlos Long

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not waterproof

I ordered these after looking for waterproof shoes for my 2.5 year old. Revain, the Pediped website, and others list it as a waterproof shoe. We love Southern California where the winters are mild, but my toddler loves to play outside and comes home from daycare soaked every morning (bitten from rain, dew, or playing with water toys and a sandbox). I don't want rubber boots, I want waterproof casual shoes. I understand that water can still seep through the ankles, but my goal is a simple shoe box that will keep his little feet dry. They are NOT waterproof. They are washable but not waterproof. I love pedipeds and own several pairs. However, these do not meet my requirements. Obviously the Max Flex (instead of the Max Grip n Go) is more water resistant, but the Flex sole line is a bit too chunky for my light weight - I still need the rounder, softer Grip n Go soles. (I've tried similar options - Keen was too big and chunky; See Kai Run is actually fine, it's just ugly and I was hoping for a different pair; other brands start their waterproof options at a toddler size 8 or 10 and my little one is it still only 6 or 7). Remember, if you're considering this particular shoe for its weather capabilities, it's not.
