I had been toughing through lifting workouts forever. Then I was using my husbands gloves that were too big. I got these and they are awesome. Little grips all over the palms and cut finger pieces along with a tight fit. My hands may still be fatigued but they are helping to strengthen my grip. I have a moderate hand size and went with a size medium. I would have thought about a large but you want them at a snug fit in case they start to stretch from use.
