First the size thing: I'm 5-5, 145lbs with a 39/40" chest and 32" waist. I normally wear a medium however, based on the reviews, I ordered up a size to a large. That wasn't needed. A family member liked the look of the vest so well, I gave it to them, they love it. I ordered a medium and it fits exactly how I wanted. So for me it was true to size. medium equaled medium.I looked at a lot of "lightweight" vest before found this vendor and am glad I waited till I found it. At 90degrees+ and 60% humidity I needed light and breathable. So far so good, it works. I've only worn it a few times but I like it. I will update my review if it falls apart or isn't durable.It has enough pockets to meet my needs as a casual wear item and somewhere to carry items I need while taking pictures during a walk about.If the vest holds up, I'll be looking to purchase another one in a darker color, I might try a small for a dresser look for casual wear with jeans or slacks.
