Review on Habanero Men's ASICS Gel Venture Running Shoes - Enhancing Performance by David Alvarez

I have loved and worn Gel Venture shoes for over a decade. I mostly walk fast, with limited walking and trail running, averaging about 30 miles a week. It was sad to see the 5th being discontinued and then the 6th. The 5's were the best in terms of comfort and durability, but the 6's weren't too different, but still slightly inferior in quality. I've probably bought over 40 pairs of these shoes over the years. I just got these gel venture 8s and WOW they are really cheap compared to previous generations. Forefoot comfort and cushioning is significantly worse, as is the overall supportive structure of the shoe. The outsole pattern is exactly the same, so I'm assuming the grip is the same. In my opinion, not a serious trail or fitness shoe, but primarily suitable for everyday use. Very disappointed that Asics discontinued a great shoe and released a much cheaper and poor quality product. I will not buy any more Asics shoes unless they return a 5 or 6. Very disappointed in you Asics! If anyone has any suggestions for shoes similar to the 5th and 6th please let me know!
