I've been using this for a month now and it's by far the best laptop I've ever had. Lightweight, boots up in just a few seconds and has a very long battery life. I bought a model with a 7th gen i7, 8GB RAM, Intel HD620 graphics, USB 3.1, 256GB SSD and all for a great price. The 7th generation processor has several significant characteristics compared to the 6th generation. The 7th generation is at least 12% faster, consumes less power for longer battery life and better supports high-resolution graphics such as external 4K monitors. This is the best deal on the latest i7 processor at a significantly lower price point than the competition. I really liked the Dell XPS 13, but with the same specs, it was almost double the price of the Acer. The IPS screen is not glossy and looks good. Unlike Dell, there's a bezel around the screen that's about 1/2 inch wide. Acer is extremely light and only about 1/2 inch thick making it very portable. I wish manufacturers would stop using separate power supplies, but the battery life is fantastic. The touchscreen and fingerprint reader weren't the features I was looking for. I haven't tried it either, so I can't comment on that. You can disable the touch screen in Windows when you don't need it or when you're having trouble keeping your fingers from touching it unintentionally. I had no problems with the mouse trackpad. I'll admit that I'm not very good with any trackpad and prefer a real mouse, so I turned off Touch Anywhere to avoid accidentally tapping something. My car arrived virus free which was a very pleasant surprise. The packaging was Revain specific, so I assume they had a say in the setup. I flashed the bios with an update from Acer and ran the latest Windows updates before using the laptop. It took a bit but I had no problems and updates are expected from every PC. I'm surprised to hear some user issues related to poor build quality as my device was perfect and appears to be very well made. I also take care of things and don't have to carry them around with me, so my usage needs are definitely different than others. My wife also has an Acer laptop which is about 6 months old and has had no quality issues. I can only recommend it and think it's great value for money.
