I bought these shears when they were only a few dollars, now they're over $10! It's a bit expensive. I bought two pairs of these when they were cheaper and used them to cut cardboard for my compost bin. They worked pretty well for about 2 months but when they tried to cut through the paper they just folded the paper instead of cutting through after the abuse I had pierced with these scissors. I think the box might be too much for her. I keep another pair in the greenhouse for cutting potted plastic and plastic wrap which they do great! The durability of these scissors is below average, but for practical use these scissors are good (I wouldn't pay $10 for them). although).
