Works for me and my wife.
We had to go to a wedding recently and I realized my old back is in a terrible state. I quickly ordered this dress because it looked long enough for my wife's dress to fit in without bunching at the bottom because it was too short. It worked like a charm. So my suit, kilt, my wife's dress, shirts in the main pocket and we both had room for shoes in the outside pockets and a tie and belt for the suit. The bag isn't as heavy to feel as my old one, but to be honest I've tested another one on planes and don't plan on doing it with this one, so it should be fine.
