Overall I should have given this device 5 stars. I am very happy with this little gadget. However, there are some disadvantages. First, the instructions are not detailed at all. I started typing after I put the batteries in and it looked like a traffic jam. Little did I know that I had to first remove the tape holding the label in place. I didn't see this step in the instructions. If specified, the instructions are printed too small to read. Be sure to open the lid and you will see which tape needs to be removed. It also doesn't tell you how to remove the cartridge. Even if it was in the manual, I didn't see it. Another scam is when you tear off the black tape on the label after you cut it. Be careful to take it off evenly and not too quickly; otherwise, part of the label will be missing at the end or the edges will look jagged. Another downside is that there should be an auto shut off feature. I forgot to turn off the device several times. I have no idea how weak the battery is. I can live with these shortcomings of this label printer. I like the idea of typing from my phone and the ability to change fonts, sizes and add icons. I am planning to buy another one as a birthday present.
