Nice chairs, great material

I've been looking for a set of bar stools for my kitchen island for a number of years. I finally decided to try this set to see how I like it. When it arrived in the mail (USPS), it was well packaged; nothing is damaged. After opening and unpacking the parts of the chair (I photographed the parts found in the box), it didn't take long to assemble the chairs; less than 10 minutes with simple instructions in pictures. I like this stuff best because I have kids who can spill stuff on it and I wanted it to be easy enough to clean. The material also seems to be quite durable. Doesn't feel like flimsy plastic vinyl; more like leather material. That too is very attractive. I also took close-up photos of the material. One issue I've had so far is that since I have OCD there's a thin sheet of plastic that needs to be removed after you assemble the chair, but I can't completely remove it from the seat. It sits in the center of the back on a black plastic bar. It's not a big deal, but when I see it I want to film it! Otherwise they are good chairs. They spin nice and smooth. They rise and fall gently. I've found that if you want to lower a chair, you either have to sit on it or press down hard with your weight. And if you want to lift it, you either have to pull the lever while standing on the footrest, or get up from the chair together. When you sit in a chair, it loses about 3 inches in height due to the hydraulic pressure it holds. Another thing I noticed is the ring at the bottom of the base. I thought it was soft rubber to protect my wooden floor from scratches, but it's just a plastic ring attached to a metal base. So far it seems normal but I've only had stools for a week. Another issue I wasn't sure I liked was the back of the seat. I felt it was uncomfortable to sit on when fully seated in the seat. It wasn't as bad as I was used to. In general, these chairs have more advantages than disadvantages. I got a pretty good deal on 2 chairs but I think I'll buy the warranty anyway as I'm wondering how well they will last the next 3-5 years.
