As another reviewer mentioned I also found these earrings to be very itchy even though they state they are nickel free. Keep in mind that 10mm is the outside diameter, not the inside diameter, making it incredibly small for an adult (the bottom of the hoops hugs my earlobe) and very difficult to put on or take off. According to the product description, it takes practice to get the right result, but it would be a lot easier if only the hoops were bigger. I have hoop earrings with an inner diameter of 10mm and a similar locking mechanism, which are much easier to put on and take off due to the size.
