For years I've planned to label the main water and gas valves in my basement but never did. I saw them and they arrived today. In no time I marked twelve valves so that they are easy to find even when I'm not there. They are large enough for lots of information or just big names with a marker. The cable tie system is permanent when in use, but there is another "non-lockable" opening that can be used for a less permanent solution. I put a small piece of clear tape on the label to keep it in place. I'll be doing some piping in the near future and I'll have plenty more to mark those new valves!
