Having had MacBooks in the past, I always bought "Speck" brand hard cases for my MacBooks. I never believe in saving on a case because it usually doesn't last long, doesn't protect the product and doesn't look very good. Since the Matebook didn't have a choice of Speck, I was forced to "approve" and go with an unnamed brand. To my surprise, this case is certainly on par and, dare I say, better than the previous variants of well-known brands. My only concern is that I don't want to make holes on the bottom for aesthetic reasons. I know mCover claims they are for cooling, but I suspect it has more to do with material cost savings for each product. Either way, it gets the job done with an excellent finish at a good price.
