I wanted a system that was easy to use and didn't require a whole bunch of internet or paid services to record my videos. I am very happy that I found this system! The cameras just need to be plugged in and turned on next to the monitor in your house when you open the box and they will sync with the monitor. You will then figure out where you want to mount them, mine are outside on a pole about 60-70 feet from me, at the end of my driveway and in one of my garages about 15 feet from where I keep the monitor. You must be connected to work. The monitor uses a micro SD card, mine is 128GB and it will last a few days, maybe longer, even with an HD setting. I didn't connect my system to my phone so I didn't connect to the internet, but that's pretty easy too. I only use the monitor to watch my videos and delete and download them to my computer when I want to enlarge them. The system can beep during recording and for other functions. Mine is in motion, recording a lot because we have high winds and lots of rain here in Oregon, and my car cover activates the camera. You just have to watch the videos and delete them. There are multiple settings for recording duration, manual recording and audio recording, but you can't talk through the cameras like some systems. I had a buzzing camera and returns and replacements were handled with great customer service! I recommend this system!
