I would say that this knife cuts very well but I have so many big problems with the two knives we received: 1- The blade of the knife is white and looks like a plastic knife and I was very afraid that a child would underestimate how incredibly sharp the blade is even with a simple hand wash. I tried to emphasize how sharp the knife was even though it was very different from the standard knife. 2 - THE BLADE COMPLETELY BROKEN from one of the knives - and that was all it took to get rid of it. The second knife's tip broke off (which means it probably got stuck in something we ate). Therefore, I cannot recommend these knives at all! I regret throwing them away before considering a refund. I was just horrified and wanted the issue to go away.
