I know my headline is a little weird but when it came to finding a pair of hiking capris - lightweight and quick dry I imagined that material could be like what snowpants are made of and did not want to be walking with the scratching type sound. These are wonderful. The fabric is so soft and very comfortable. I am 5'9 about 180 lbs and typically wear a 16 but depending on the fit I also where 14 in pants. I bought both the L and XL as another reviewer said that she did that and kept both. I can see why she did but for me I kept the L only as the XL were comfortable but baggier and I wanted something that would look nice for traveling I wanted something light weight going to a hot destination, with pockets, I like that these have zippers so can just shove stuff in my pockets while boarding a plane etc. I also like that you can hide the drawstring that tightens around your calf, just makes it more put together, I think so anyways.
