I love these chairs! They're heavier than the ultra-light ones from places like REI, but the square base makes them a lot sturdier than front/back or side-to-side single pole versions. It was the only one I saw with a fully square base and I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. We're not true hikers, so an extra 1/2 pound or so isn't a big deal for a few mile hike to the rocks. And much more comfortable than sitting on rocks or the ground while climbing. Let's see how they hold up - I bought insurance just in case but if they last a few years then it's worth it.
