I have been using Macs since 2022, I like the convenience of Macos and excellent ergonomics, there were Air, iMac 27 "and firmware. I use Macos as my main desktop axis, and on Linux and Windows servers, they belong there! The screen of the firmware is something: on the recommended retina resolution is absolutely comfortable to work with, the font is not small, everything is perfectly visible! Therefore, do not be afraid of the huge resolution for 13 ", if you wish, you can easily make the image both larger and smaller. The quality of font rendering is something, after the weekend (bought on Friday) I couldn't look at a working iMac 27'' without tears and at my Samsung laptop with a 1600x900 IPS matrix (by the way, in my opinion, the highest quality on laptops after retina). All the fonts on old laptops and monitors seemed to me crooked, blurry and scary after the Retina display of the firmware, but I didnโt notice this before! As they say, everything is known in comparison . Another huge plus is of course the battery, it really lasts for a long time! The SSD 512 is very fast - up to 700MB / s in read / write tests (Blackmagic disk speed test). The only thing missing is 16GB of RAM (I only have 8GB). I usually have many browser tabs open, several documents in pdf, docx, xlsx, and a couple of linux Wirth. machines. The video card is very productive, I tried several games at maximum resolution (Dirt 2, Torchlight 2) - there are no brakes. But I'm not interested in games, but the fact that the change of the video chip had a positive effect on the smoothness of the system's graphical interface is obvious! About the touch and so much has been written - everything is true. The only drawback is the weight and thickness, compared to my samsung or Air, the poppy is really heavier and you can feel it! Conclusions: it turned out to be an excellent laptop in all respects !
