these 8000k are basically 5000k in my opinion. Some reviewers say 6000,000 is rightly due to different sizes. I have size/type DS1. My 8000k looked like a 5000k Snow White during the day. In daylight it's now safe to say that if you buy a 5000k, 6000k or 8000k they may look dim if you install and turn them on in daylight. However, my 2012 Cadillac CTS-V has projection lenses. I hate that! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND BRIGHT AT NIGHT! My 4 stars because I don't see a hint of blue. I was looking for this ice blue image. However, I had One Pink Headlight for 2 years and it started to dim and the high beam didn't do it justice. I am very happy that I have 2 headlights that work. Right now. I saw some reviews that said it was low beam only. I flipped the high beam switch and WoW! Even brighter! PS if you are looking for The Icy Blue Look. Please get 10000k as I now know I had to. EVERY MANUFACTURER OR BRAND IS DIFFERENT! and as I said before, the dimensions of the lamp can also affect the color temperature. Insight says it won't be deep (illegally) blue, 10000k like my daytime running lights; but this is another story. Spring. If you want to replace that ugly yellowish headlight, choose the lighting brand "alla" and google the bulb size in the Phillips or Sylvania Automotive Lighting Guide.
