I wasn't sure I would like the color Mocha but when it arrived I was glad the color wasn't had yellow tint. It's more like chocolate milk (medium brown) and goes well with the sofa. Actually the perfect combination. It's as wide as one of the seat cushions. The table wobbles a bit when sliding, pushing or rocking, a support bar solves this problem, but wherever you put it so it doesn't get in the way of your feet or legs. It's sturdy enough for my laptop, food, books, even my hands. I haven't done it yet, but I think I could use it perfectly outdoors when I want to enjoy nature while working on the computer, solving puzzles, etc. I chose this product to fill my need for a computer desk cover while sitting on the couch to give the impression that I'm spending more time with my family instead of being isolated in another room. My 15" laptop fits on one side of the tray, a laptop or 8" plate and a drink or both, stacked in a row, on the other side of the tray. I love to read a book while eating and there is enough room for both. The tray initially seems too big but once my stuff was on it. Perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. In fact, two people sitting sideways and one foot under the table can eat on it in a pinch. I set up two large tanks and stands on each side. I had a number. Sometimes I like to recline on the sofa and find that I can slide the table all the way over the sofa, slide my legs underneath with the side end of the table, I have room for a laptop, glass, pencils and pens. My notebook, books, snacks are in the back. I was weighing between the TableMate II and this XL and I'm glad I chose the XL as it suits my needs perfectly. If I was only going to use it as a TV stand and for no other purpose, I would buy a TableMate II. Overall I am happy with this tray. If you don't read further in this review, you know that the product did not disappoint.
