I'm glad I bought them. My ears are happy

I respect people who are willing to pay $200 or more for earbuds or headphones, but that's not me. I wear headphones to the gym, often on walks. What I'm looking for is 1) decent sound if not audiophile level, 2) durability, especially cables which are usually a point of failure, 3) comfort and durability in the ears, 4) reasonable price. These headphones seem to meet all of my criteria as far as I've been using them for a week now. I use them to replace some with a brand that often starts with an S and has a C further down the name. 1) The sound is definitely better, I hear something in the music that I haven't heard before. 2) The wires have a rubberized finish which leads me to believe they will be durable, 3) They fit my ears great right out of the box, but there are plenty of other ear pads if you need a different fit, and 4) I find the price reasonable. If they wear out or I lose them in a few years, I'll be sad but not bankrupt. Wood is an interesting feature. Maybe just for the looks, or maybe it has something to do with a reasonably balanced and even sound. Neither high nor low frequencies appear weak or exaggerated. I listen to rock, sometimes classical, and I don't hear any distortion. I don't notice any "microphony" either - when wires rub against my shirt I don't hear it in my kidneys. It comes with a cute little pouch. I found I could wrap them around a couple of fingers and slip them into my pocket and later pull them out with little to no tangling.
