I was very happy when I found this sweater for my 17 year old diabetic cat. I wanted something that would keep them warm and long enough to go down their ribs. I ordered a large one (made to measure) but the neck turned out to be too big after a day of wearing. Sweaters stretch! She weighs between 7.5 and 8 pounds. I pinned my neck, and then everything was perfect! My house was cooler for my Husky and Norwegian Forest Cat and this sweater helped her stay warm so she could move more easily and therefore more often. But for me it would backfire: she got warm from the sun, and as the temperature rises she gets too hot and lethargic. I took off my sweater and she immediately cheered up.
