Review on πŸ’¦ KOHLER K-98740-CP Watertile Rain Overhead Shower Panel: 4 Sprayheads, Polished Chrome by Miriam Davis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Hm. 5 stars for Kohler quality, 2 stars for ease of use

I gave this overhead shower from Kohler 5 stars for its quality. However, I would give the company 2 stars just for shipping an expensive product with a "discount" of up to $600! There is no doubt that the product is of high quality in both construction and finish: carefully polished chrome, four independent (and heavy) brass and other metal fittings that can be independently routed to deliver the desired water distribution achieve. This shower head needs to be installed. That means it doesn't come in a cabinet (or box) that can be installed over the shower. The intent seems to be that you will cut a custom hole in the ceiling, attach and embed custom and complex plumbing so what you see in the ceiling above the shower is what is shown in the photo product. The ceilings in our bathrooms are currently 10ft, so this just doesn't work for us as a built-in showerhead. I don't list such things), or you or your plumber are doing quite complex plumbing work from scratch. Typically this is a brass (or possibly heat resistant PVC) loop of half inch tubing with four nozzles finely tuned to attach to each of the four independent shower heads that make up the unit. A metal template is included to help you or your plumber assemble this unit. However, I believe that for this price the company could have included this piece of tubing with a single connector at the end for you to connect to your existing mixed (hot and cold) shower water supply system. So it could be installed with a standard half inch shower head connector. This would make it much more practical and much easier to use. We really admire this shower head - we already have a square "rain" head in our master bathroom. This is a much cheaper but much easier to install unit with a standard connector that simply bolts to the existing shower fixture with a small amount of Teflon tape. That means we're already fans of this concept. However, it would take a lot of imagination and money to be able to install and use this in our existing soul. for the production of the necessary sanitary ware. I then have to build some sort of waterproof closet to cover everything and figure out how to hang it over our shower. In summary, we feel that Kohler should provide the specialized plumbing required for this expensive piece of equipment. Revolution. At the very least, it should be available to the buyer at an additional cost. Also, it would be better to have an additional plastic or metal cabinet for the entire device so that it can be hung where it cannot be built in. Again - 5 stars for Kohler quality. 2 stars for ease of use.
