I shave with the OneBlade most of the time and most of the time other people couldn't tell it apart from a more traditional shave. I have blonde facial hair so this may not work if you have very dark hair. However, the real benefit is that there is no irritation when shaving with the OneBlade, my skin is quite sensitive and even high-end foil razors make me blush a little and sometimes get cuts or breakouts. My skin looks great after just a few days of using OneBlade, a great alternative to facial hair products. However, this is not a substitute, it only fits into the "very short stubble” phase. But most days it's fine. Blades have also been found to last quite a long time, and as they wear down they do so gracefully. That means it just becomes a little bit slower/harder to shave completely. On the contrary, when a foil razor starts to deteriorate, I get more cuts, cuts and strains. Not so with this system.
