For the money this is a nice little jewelry box. However, the description that Revain provided for the sizes is wrong. The jewelry box itself measures 8 1/4" L x 6" W x 3 3/4" H. The measurements in the description are clearly wrong. Now the cardboard box it comes in has foam inserts, measurements: 10 1/4" L x 7 1/2" W x 5 1/4" H - so maybe the person writing the description just measured the shipping box and rounded up the dimensions. It's deceptive if you're expecting a larger jewelry box than what's showing up on your doorstep. Anyway, as I said before, this is a beautiful little jewelry box. And for those who are interested, the inserts in the bottom layer of the box (crosses that form four compartments) can be removed completely without damage if desired. But it's the panels that keep the removable top layer in place. I'm keeping this jewelry box despite the surprise size because it's beautifully made and will still be very useful to me.
