I already had three other Domke bags when I bought this one: dark brown F-2, olive green F-5XC and black F-802. Obviously I like them and at this point I wouldn't buy any other brands. However, most of these bags (with the exception of the 802 to a limited extent) are actually only suitable for photographic equipment. You can take out the dividers and put whatever you want in, but they only work really well with camera gear. Of course, that didn't stop me from using them regularly for other purposes. I've used the F-802 as a carry-on for airline travel (it's large but fits under the seat) and in the F-5XC I've stuffed a Canon 40D, a 24-105L lens and an extra lens or two. If you use the F-802 as a shoulder bag to carry papers, books, laptop or anything other than camera gear, it will be too big. Comfortable but big. This is where the F-803 comes in. Despite the larger number, this is a smaller bag. To be honest I didn't even try to put my big camera in here. Judging by other reviews it had a divider liner but I don't remember that and don't know what happened to mine (I got the bag about a year ago). I must have taken it out immediately and hidden it somewhere :) I think regular sized DSLRs like the XXD or 5D series will be fine, but you might have trouble fitting your laptop in your laptop bag. One of my favorite things about this bag is that it has a spacious main compartment and then a pocket that runs the length of it. This bag holds a neoprene sleeve for a 13" laptop (I use a MacBook Pro) and slides the laptop in and out of the bag. The perfect way to protect and transport your laptop. Of course, just slip the laptop into a sleeveless bag - despite what people may say, these bags keep your belongings well protected - but sometimes I take the sleeve out if I just want to take the laptop somewhere and not the whole bag, so I take I like to carry the case with me and it doesn't take up much space. Small Apple laptop power adapters and other accessories fit in one of the front pockets of this bag, but if you have a really large power adapter like some laptops, you might get a bit frustrated. I use an Olympus EP-2 for travel these days. You can fit a camera of this size and accessories (I have the kit lens and the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 that usually comes with it, two extra batteries, etc.) in one of the front pockets of this bag. Or in my opinion the best solution would be to buy one of the bags that Domke sells (of course in the appropriate sand color). There are clips on either end of this bag that can be used to attach these bags (and other things I think). And you'll love the handle that's built into the sides of most large Domke bags. a great feature that I've never seen on bags from other companies. Makes it easy to take your bag with you on a plane, for example, or to store it in a small space in a car or elsewhere.
