My baby is 3 months and all she ends up doing is pulling out her pacifier more. The koala is cute and well made. I'm not loving the extra fuzzies the animal attracts to the pacifier. I was hoping it would be a little weighted to help hold the it in place on her chest but even when swaddled it falls out because it pulls when she turns her head side to side. At home the plain old pacifier is best for us. When out and about we have a basic clip on attachment to keep it off the floor. The stuffed animal attachment might be better help with a newborn. 4 stars because I think it really depends on the kid and it came as described and well made.
