These cooking containers are great for two reasons: they're lightweight and they're non-slip. They can also be washed in the dishwasher, which is a requirement for me. I generally use glass cooking containers because I like how they heat food more evenly. However, they're a great substitute for those who need to bring groceries and can't handle the extra weight of glass. This set is lightweight but doesn't feel cheap. I've tried many cheap plastic food prep containers and they always crack or leak. They are not easy to crack and do not leak. I filled them with lettuce and dressing, put the lids on, and shook vigorously to keep a drop of vinaigrette from dripping off the walls. I use them to easily carry cottage cheese, yogurt, and pasta salads. Also, I haven't thrown them off the counter yet, but they're a lot sturdier than other brands I've tried, and I'm not worried about them snapping if dropped or sat down during a busy commute. However, it's worth noting that I'm much less likely to drop them off the shelf due to the non-slip material on the outside. Overall I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lightweight yet durable alternative to glass food prep containers.
